Minnesota music made to last. Make the Minnesota Music Archive a reality.

Diverse Emerging Music Organization (DEMO) is building the first-ever Minnesota Music Archive, a digital hub of music, photos, and stories that preserve and celebrate Minnesota’s vibrant music landscape. 

The Minnesota Music Archive celebrates ALL Minnesota music. We have the ambitious goal of preserving every obtainable recording by Minnesota musicians, from mainstream names to independent and small-label artists. It is a promise to past, present, and future Minnesota musicians that their music will matter for generations to come. There are over 1200 titles archived so far, across genres, eras, and cultures. However, we need your help to make the Minnesota Music Archive a reality. 

We need to raise $5,000 to launch the archive publicly. 

To thank you for supporting Minnesota music, anyone who donates $125 or more will receive a FREE copy of A Musicians Menu,A Musicians Menu photo. a cookbook featuring recipes by local Minnesota musicians.  

Additionally, everyone who donates will DEMO Swag Bag (t-shirt, two stickers, The Moons book)automatically be entered into a weekly giveaway for a DEMO Swag Bag (t-shirt, stickers, and a copy of The Moons book). Note that people who are not picked will carry over to the following week, so donate early for the best chance of winning!

DEMO believes that music has the power to bridge barriers and that musical diversity is critical to fostering vibrant cultures and communities. DEMO also believes that some of the most inspired music comes from the multitude of passionate, innovative, and hard-working independent musicians who are creating their own paths.

DEMO is a Minnesota 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was established in 2005 by former First Avenue General Manager Steve McClellan. DEMO has showcased hundreds of emerging and established artists at dozens of venues throughout the Twin Cities. DEMO has also offered educational, scholarship, and internship opportunities to young people, energizing future generations to transform the music business where musicians come first.
