The Danes love alternative energy. But rather than wind or the sun, the DAC is powered by people.

The Danish American Center counts on it's members to help sustain the organization. Along with our rentals and events at the Center, it's a critical piece of our financial puzzle. And donations here and those beyond the membership dues are tax deductible.

So why donate to DAC? The Danish American Center traces origins back more than half a century to the first wave of immigrants from Denmark to settle in Minnesota. We continue the tradition as the center of educational and social programs to increase awareness of Danish culture.

And we do this by being an entirely volunteer-run organization. Last year, over 12,000 hours of volunteer time contributed to making the DAC what it is.

Located just south of Lake Street on the Parkway overlooking the Mississippi River, we are only fifteen minutes from the vibrant cultural scenes of downtown Minneapolis, St. Paul as well as the University of Minnesota campus. Facilities include meeting rooms which are home to our many and diverse programming as well as for use to other nonprofit organizations.
For us to continue to provide our first-rate programming, we need the community to give a little back to the organization that offers so much. A diversified income stream is the best way to ensure that the Danish American Center is sustainable.
