We create and support access to quality jazz education for Minnesota youth through multiple programs and partnerships
You can help Dakota Foundation for Jazz Education to raise $5000 to assure access to quality jazz education for Minnesota youth!
It costs $500 to send an artist/clinician into a school for three visits where they work with student bands, often in preparation for a performance. We've had to turn down schools in the past and are raising funds to increase our capacity to serve more schools--and hundreds more students--in the future. Our goal of $2500 for this program will provide an artist to work with the students in five additional schools.
Our fundraising goal includes an additional $2500 to fund five need-based scholarships, which will give students access to area summer jazz camps, many of which are only available to students on a fee bases. Each jazz camp will choose how to use the scholarships.
We are pleased to announce that DFJE will receive a match of $1,000 if we achieve our goal!
