Partner with us to educate, form and sustain the next generation of Crosiers

Dear Friend,

The Crosier Order is growing strong and vibrant around the world, thanks be to God.

Our Brother Daniel Hernández recently professed his solemn vows, promising to give his life entire in service to the Church as a Crosier. On August 20, he was ordained a transitional deacon in the Priory at Onamia and is now ministering in the local parish cluster and as a formation director with our novices.

Next spring, we expect that Brother Daniel will be ordained a priest and give his life through further service in sacramental ministry. He asks for your prayers as his journey continues.

In August, two young men entered our novitiate in Onamia and were vested with the Crosier habit. During these years in novitiate, they will study the vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience and spend time in prayer and reflection and live a deliberate communal, consecrated life. We are delighted to share their “new” Crosier life with them!

In Congo, four Crosiers were recently ordained priests and several more were ordained transitional deacons.

In Indonesia, two Crosiers were ordained to the priesthood this fall. Twenty-four other young men have joined our Crosier Order there. They are studying in college or at the major seminary, striving to follow their elder confreres in service to the Church.

How blessed we are to see more than 100 young men taking on our Crosier habit throughout the world in recent years. They are willing to commit their lives to raising high the Cross of Christ and spreading the Gospel to some of the world’s most impoverished and isolated people.

Our annual Give to the Max campaign is taking place now through Nov. 18, and so I ask you to partner with us to educate, form, and sustain these young Crosiers in their vocations.

Will you assist the Crosiers with the cost of educating these willing and faith-filled young confreres to serve the Church as the Crosier priests and Religious of tomorrow?

All the Crosiers, young and old alike, in the United States and throughout the world, join me in thanking God for you and your generous support of our Crosier life and service.

Gratefully yours in the Holy Cross,

Fr. Kermit Holl, osc
Prior, Crosier Community of Onamia

PS: Your generosity to our Give to the Max campaign will go a long way to support our young Crosiers in formation. They are truly hope for the future of the Church and count on your generous partnership to support their vowed lives of ministry, prayer and service.
