Mission

To provide a safe, nurturing environment where youth can strengthen their personalities and develop educational and social skills.

EXCITING NEWS! 

Thanks to a generous donor, we have been challenged with a $100,000 match!  We are over half way to our goal, but need help raising $48,275.  Any new, renewed, or increased donations made before December 20, 2023 qualify to be DOUBLED!

Programs

Each year, CPY provides out-of-school programs for over 300 youth in grades K-8.  We focus on at-risk youth, providing a positive, safe alternative during regularly unsupervised hours--after school and during the summer months.  For the past 26 years, CPY has been enriching lives of youth and keeping them out of the juvenile justice system.  Not only do we provide mentoring opportunities, help with homework, and a variety of enrichment activities, we also ensure the youth are receiving healthy nutrition by providing over 24,000 meals and snacks per year!

During the school year, our program serves approximately 120 youth per day and provides activities such as:

• Homework help and tutoring
• Mentorship with positive adult role-model
• Hands-on learning
• Reading Friends Program
• Cooking classes
• Girls on the Run
• Girls Dream Code
• Boys Leadership Program
• Recreational Activities
• Life-skill building
• Service Projects
• Field trips

During the summer months, we provide programming up to 200 youth and fill their summer with thrilling adventures and allow them to enjoy their youthfulness with activities such as:

• Weekly trips to the beach
• Arts & Crafts
• Team building
• Field trips around the Twin Cities
• Breakfast, lunch & snacks everyday
• Engaging service projects
• Cooking Classes
• Specialized classes like, photography, woodworking, music
