We are facing another year that promises to challenge us and our neighbors and keep us on our toes. While we are not sure what is in store for the people we support, we do know that our volunteer's commitment to resourceful, creative, hard work is as strong as ever! With your help, we can harness this to provide Food For All and opportunities at Community Homestead for both vocation...and joy.

So, two big drives this year! We hope you help us raise money for the Food For All Fund,  and the Community Outreach Pavilion this year.  

Food for All means exactly that. We grow it, bake it, cook it and distribute it to those that need it. You help us pay for the costs. Working closely with Osceola Open Cupboard, People Loving People and food distributions in the twin cities, organic, fresh food gets right out onto people’s plates. No one should go hungry in such a beautiful growing area.

People with “disabilities” who need support to shine are the ones who are helping grow, create and distribute. There is a balance in receiving and giving help that highlights our common humanity. We like that. We hope you do too. 

Building a Community Outreach Pavilion benefits the community and the neighborhood. It adds to the beautiful pizza oven we built in 2023, right next to the new bakery, creating a social gathering 

Here we can practice hosting, serving and extending our welcome. School groups, families, organizations, neighbors, this one's for you! Not only is this a vocational opportunity, its an economic one. With one eye on the uncertainties of the future, we need to shore up our sustainable economy. Farm Pizza Night anyone?!

For the past 30 years, (Happy Birthday to us!) you have helped us develop a beautiful, simple, and sustainable place just outside Osceola, where people with disabilities can flourish and contribute. This is a responsible and generous lifestyle where long term relationships are made both with long and short term, international and American, residential volunteers who share memories and look to the future together.
