Mission

The Coalition for a Clean Minnesota river was founded in 1989 due to the vision of several individuals whose love for the Minnesota River allowed them to see its potential, as well as its extremely polluted condition. They wanted to leave the legacy of a clean river to future generations.  To date over 100 organizations and businesses along with hundreds of citizens have joined efforts and are now carving out their own unique roles in restoration. We have a passion for our work.

Programs

Monitor, assist and partner with public agencies charged with river cleanup, Conservation Drainage Initiative (ag drainage), Community Clean Ups for Water Quality (municipal stormwater program),  "I Love the Minnesota River" educational musical program, "River Rangers"(youth involvement) Riverblast( cultural educational celebration of the Minnesota River)  Manage and run the Regional River History and Information Center, special events Legislative initiatives, On the water river experiences
