Climate Land Leaders is a non-profit organization connecting landowners and land stewards with the resources, peer support, and education to take meaningful action toward climate resiliency on their land. Over 5 years, our vibrant community has grown to include 200+ people stewarding 50,000+ acres in the Upper Midwest.

Climate Land Leaders know: Nature provides climate solutions. By planting and tending to well-placed trees, shrubs, grasses, waterways, and wetlands, Climate Land Leaders are helping keep the air and soils cool. They know that a diversity of plants and animals on the landscape is good for the climate, for soil health, for biodiversity, for water quality, and more.

80% of Climate Land Leaders say that participation in this community helps them achieve their conservation goals. 

Jane Shey joined Climate Land Leaders when she began stewarding her family's farmland alongside her mother. Within the Climate Land Leaders community, Jane found knowledgeable, supportive, and inquisitive people eager to share their experiences and work toward significant conservation goals that reset the trajectory of the land and our warming planet.

We grow leaders who set ambitious goals for their land stewardship and speak publicly about the myriad benefits of nature’s climate solutions and the policies we need to support climate-friendly agriculture and land use. In the last year, Climate Land Leaders were featured 30+ times in local, regional, and national press.
