Women Crossing Borders for Peace
Forward Global Women exists to foster the development of nonviolent peacemakers by providing women leaders and activists with the opportunity to study peacemaking and co-existence and to put nonviolence into practice for the sake of the well-being of all. Each year Forward Global Women hosts a convening that brings together women leaders from the Middle East and Northern Africa (MENA Countries) as well as the U.S. to build relationships and engage in peace-building trainings. Past convenings have focused on UN Resolution 1325, security from a women's perspective, conflict transformation and resolution, and challenges facing women in the areas of security, peace, rights and equality.
