Circle of Discipline, Inc

The Circle of Discipline is more than a youth organization, it is a family. The Circle of Discipline is a place where youth feel safe, heard, and supported. Three core values influence how we do our work. Our first value is cultivation of strength in community relationships. The second value is serving the whole person with an understanding of the connection between their mental, physical and spiritual health and their historical and current social context. Finally, our third value is embracing non-traditional strategies for learning life’s most important lessons. The goal of every one of our programs is not only to help our participants become physically healthy, but to help them achieve a sense of mental, spiritual, and social well-being. 

The Circle of Discipline is specifically raising funds to introduce it's newest program to the youth we serve, our Fresh Encounters program.  Fresh Encounters offers the youth the opportunity to spend time outside of the city, in a small rural town, disconnecting from technology and electronics and connecting with nature. The goal is for youth to strengthen social connections and relationships, realize new talents and passions, and strengthen their overall character. 

The youth will be able to learn the importance of environmental conservation through activities which include camping, fishing, hiking, stargazing, and exposure to wildlife. Additionally they will learn life skills such as starting a campfire, knot tying, cooking, and more.
