Circle of Discipline, Inc

The Circle of Discipline is more than a youth organization, it is a family. Three core values influence how we do our work. Our first value is cultivation of strength in community relationships. The second value is serving the whole person with an understanding of the connection between their mental, physical and spiritual health and their historical and current social context. Finally, our third value is embracing non-traditional strategies for learning life’s most important lessons.

For almost 30 years, the Circle of Discipline has been providing leadership programming in the Twin Cities through fitness and boxing training, youth leadership groups, youth advocacy, and mentor relationships. The past two year have been full of transition for the Circle.  In 2020, we were forced to close our physical doors and shift our programming to virtual as a means to continue to support our youth through unprecedented times. In 2021, we had to find a new location and leave our location of over 20 years.  The Circle is pleased to announce our new location in Southeast Minneapolis.  This new endeavor has allowed us the space needed to expand our programming.  We will offer new youth programs to include performing arts skills, opportunities to learn about various aspects of business, financial literacy, and culture, and a project-based program to develop and hone entrepreneurial skills. The goal of every one of our programs is not only to help our participants become physically healthy, but to help them achieve a sense of mental, spiritual, and social well-being.
