Greetings Chisago County Sheriff's Office Foundation Supporters,

The objective of the Chisago County Sheriff's Office Foundation is to improve the quality of life for the citizens of Chisago County and to preserve the professional standards and safety of the employees of the Sheriff's Office through active citizen involvement. The foundation supports the goals of the Chisago County Sheriff's Office and works to foster a collaborative effort between members of the sheriff's office and the community. The foundation is a resource to fill any voids between governmental funding and the needs of the community and works to raise awareness of the Sheriff's Office, its functions, operations, and programs.

As you already know, the Sheriff’s Office and its employees contribute immensely to the safety, protection, and overall care of our nearly 60,000-member community. Around the clock, they’re taking 911 emergency calls, assisting at the scene of accidents, comforting residents during medical emergencies, interacting with community members at public events, and doing much more. Each CCSO employee, from the 911 call center, to the jail, our deputies, K9s, to administrative staff, pours their heart and soul into their job. Every position requires an immense amount of physical and emotional commitment. It is with this in mind we would like to think of ways we can help protect and preserve their mental and physical health. 

When the citizens of our county so graciously approved the building plan for our new Public Safety Center in Center City, which was completed in 2018, the funds for the project included creating a workout space. However, there were no funds available for workout equipment. Handed down, donated equipment is currently being used and is in desperate need of a replacement.

The CCSO Foundation exists to cover expenses for the Sheriff’s Office that are outside the county’s budget. In order to get the CCSO updated workout equipment that covers maintenance of physical fitness and the intense physical training that is needed for our deputies to be able to perform their duties at an optimum level, we have a budget of just under $15,000 to create a space that meets the needs of the office.

We are asking our supporters to thoughtfully consider making a fully tax deductible donation to help us provide new equipment for the Chisago County Sheriff's Office gym. 100% of your donation for this fundraiser will go toward Sheriff’s Office needs.
