Children's Surgery International (CSI)

Children’s Surgery International provides free pediatric medical and surgical services, along with professional education and training, to communities in need around the world.

Our vision is to reduce global health care disparities by helping communities obtain the knowledge, skills and tools to provide life-changing surgical and medical care for children.

Since 2001, 1,400 medical volunteers have donated nearly 110,000 hours of professional medical care to more than 10,000 children in 15 countries. Our current site commitments include Ethiopia, Mexico, Liberia and The Gambia.

We are actively planning for trips to Liberia, Ethiopia, The Gambia and Mexico, continuing instruction on the training modules of our Fellowship program in Ethiopia and exploring new partnership sites.

In 2024, CSI medical volunteers donated professional services valued at nearly $1.4 million. Because our volunteers give their skills, your gift goes further — 98¢ of every $1 donated is invested directly in life-changing surgical care and training.
