We are so proud to have an Idaho Chapter since 2013!

Neurofibromatosis (NF), a term for three disorders that causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body and can lead to blindness, bone abnormalities, cancer, deafness, disfigurement, learning disabilities, and excruciating and disabling pain.

NF affects one in every 3,000 people, more than cystic fibrosis, Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and Huntington’s disease combined.  The Children’s Tumor Foundation funds critical research into neurofibromatosis.  In addition to benefiting those who live with NF, this research is shedding new light on several forms of cancer, brain tumors, bone abnormalities, and learning disabilities, ultimately benefiting the broader community.

"I look into my daughter's eyes and see the brightest most beautiful light and a future filled with children and health and security and then I remember, "Oh yeah, she has NF, she might not get any of that." I know in actuality, everybody lives like this. At any moment, any one of us could be struck down. But when your child has NF, it is more likely that something might go wrong. It's like my husband said, "It's as if somebody told us our daughter is going to be in a car wreck but we can't tell you when and we can't tell you how bad she will be hurt." Frankly, that sucks and it's not fair! --Hayley Brown-Boise.

There is NO TREATMENT and there is NO CURE! We must END NF!

The Children's Tumor Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to finding effective treatments for the millions of people worldwide living with NF.
