Help Save Children with Heart Disease

We believe every child deserves a healthy heart. When children born with heart defects get the treatment they need, they can grow up healthy and happy.  Sadly, only 10% of children worldwide born with a heart defect have access to the care they need. They may live in an area that lacks the basic infrastructure to access health care, or in a region that lacks the expertise needed to save their lives. Children's HeartLink saves children’s lives by transforming pediatric heart care in underserved parts of the world.

Based in Minnesota, our reach is worldwide, with partner hospitals in Brazil, China, India, Malaysia and Vietnam, where 40% of the world's population lives. Since our inception, we've trained more than 4,000 local providers who have helped more than a million children in these countries and elsewhere in the world.

As the Covid-19 pandemic sweeps the world, our work has never been more important. Children born with heart disease need our support now more than ever. Travel to the countries we serve is significantly limited, and we are working remotely with our global partners and medical teams to provide training and support during the pandemic. Your support is critical, as our partner hospitals around the world are taking the necessary precautions to keep their patients and themselves safe, while also providing lifesaving care.

Globally, congenital birth defects are the 5th leading cause of mortality in children under the age of five. Help us reduce the number of children who succumb to these preventable deaths.

Thank you for your support.

 Our Mission:

We save children’s lives by transforming pediatric heart care in underserved parts of the world.
