We are a housing non-profit offering a variety of programs and services to low and moderate income households in Central Minnesota.

Housing is a basic need that affects people in many more ways than just having a roof over their heads. Stable housing benefits employers and employees by decreasing missed work time and increasing productivity. Stable housing benefits student's performance in school by creating a safe and comfortable environment to study and rest. Stable Housing can provide a fresh start for someone who is experiencing homelessness. Stable housing can provide a support network for the disabled or those living with a mental health illness. Stable housing can help an aging individual transition from homeownership to a living situation that better meets their physical needs.

All of scenarios listed above are why we at Central Minnesota Housing Partnership, Inc. are committed to assisting underserved communities to preserve, improve and increase affordable housing for low and moderate-income families and individuals in central Minnesota. The need for affordable housing continues to grow, while a number of factors make it more and more difficult for someone to find and affordable place to call home. Our work has never been more important, and because of this we've adapted the needs of our region by diversifying our development activities to include housing for seniors and permanent supportive housing for persons suffering from a severe and persistent mental illness.

Willow Grove Apartments is a 20-unit property in North Branch, Minnesota. The property provides affordable housing and support services to individuals living with a severe and persistent mental illness, many of whom were previously homeless. The project was a collaborative effort between local and state agencies, funders and CMHP.

The Mill Townhomes is a 42-unit townhome property in Staples, Minnesota. The property provides affordable housing to individuals and families. The property features a number of units set aside for households with a disability and households previously experiencing homelessness. The project was a collaborative effort between local and state agencies, funders and CMHP.

These projects are  just one example of how CMHP serves low- and moderate-income households in our 16-county service area. In addition to developing, owning and property managing affordable multi-family housing, we also administer the Small Cities Development Program and house the Central Continuum of Care Coordinator and Coordinated Entry Coordinator.

CMHP is able to provide these programs and develop affordable housing though partnerships with other organizations and contributions from donors wanting to make a difference in people’s lives. Please consider making a donation to CMHP and the work we do, and remember, any donation to CMHP makes a difference!
