Dear Central High School Community of Support,

Without doubt, this is one of the most challenging years in Central’s 155 year history. Think of all that Central students have been asked to overcome - an ongoing global pandemic, almost an entire year of distance learning, a world of unrest, their community being the focal point for a worldwide movement for justice sparked by the murder of George Floyd. Then we asked them to return to the building as though their lives hadn’t forever been changed by those crucible moments. How could any of us not expect that there would be monumental challenges. Central students and staff need all of our support. Now, as in many other historic moments in Central’s history we need to come together and be Central Strong.

It’s Give to the Max week and the Central High School Parent Advisory Council (PAC) is asking for your support! Your gift to the PAC will support students, staff, and classrooms. Every amount of support makes a difference and supports the teachers and students.

This year PAC is Raising funds to support students to ‘Raise their Voice!’ and funds to support teachers in their classrooms. Here is how you can help:

 ‘Raise their Voice!’ Support Students:

A gift to a grade level allows each class to create opportunities to strengthen connection and to grow community – bring each class together. Relationships Matter! The PAC will help each class develop and execute the activities the students believe will help them reach these goals. You can support this endeavor by making a gift to the different grade levels at Central. Please share with family members  - everyone can join in!

  • Make a $22 gift to the class of ‘22

  • Make a $23 gift to the class of ‘23

  • Make a $24 gift to the class of ‘24

  • Make a $25 gift to the class of ‘25

Support Teachers:

PAC is raising funds to grant $250 for each teacher to use in their classroom to support students and the work they are doing. These gifts will allow teachers and students to lift up opportunities that increase academic access and create community for ALL students.

  • Make a $250 gift to support a classroom grant

OUR GOAL is to get support from 350 donors because while the money is important, more important is building our community’s capacity to care for each other, create community, and take care of our students and teachers. This year our dollar amount goal is $40,000 with a $20,000 donor match that has been committed, All gifts made will support this work. It also means that every dollar your family contributes is doubled in impact!

We know times are tight. We know you have been tapped to give in more ways than you could have ever imagined a year ago. AND we are so appreciative that you see yourself and your family as part of the Central community that lifts up every student to thrive.

Thank you for considering making a gift that works for you. And thank you, thank you for all you do and have done for the Central community.

We are Central STRONG!

Your Central PAC Co-Chairs,

Sunny Kase and Cherise Ayers
