Please help the Cathedral Heritage Foundation maintain the magnificent Cathedral of Saint Paul!

The Cathedral of Saint Paul is a historic landmark that continues to be improved and enhanced. 

This year, we have important work to accomplish.  We need to add protective exterior window coverings on the south and north rose windows.  These magnificent stained glass windows are among the first features to draw a visitor's gaze upward upon entering the Cathedral. The American craftsman Charles Connick created these expansive masterpieces, which feature nearly transparent colored glass. We restored two of these rose windows in 2015 and 2016, and we are very grateful to our many donors who helped with this effort.  Now it is time to replace the old exterior window coverings to protect them from our harsh Minnesota climate and, sadly, from vandalism. 

Here's what we can do if we raise $94,500:

1. Remove the old storm glass on both north and south rose windows.

2. Scrape all loose paint and putty.

3. Re-center exterior surface of windows as needed.

4. Paint the frames with two coats of top-quality paint.

5. Glass will be set against the exterior existing stops.

6. Each window will be vented as needed.
