Cate’s Hope for the Disabled

Cate Ongoro was born in Kenya and became a U.S. citizen about 10 years ago. She soon realized that disabled people here were not shut away in their homes like they were in Kenya. This prompted her to return to Kenya and start giving wheelchairs to children who never got out of their homes. The culture in Kenya has slowly been changing to allow people with disabilities to be seen in public. It has been a long 10 years, but Cate has helped dozens of children get the help they need. She has a group of about 30 volunteers in Kenya who keep things going while Cate lives here. Cate visits twice a year. Her Christmas trip is extra special because that's when custom wheelchairs are delivered from her Kenyan supplier. Your donation will go toward more wheelchairs this Christmas. Each chair costs $250.
