Comprehensive Services for Stability and Recovery:

Care & Share is more than a shelter, it’s a place where transformation begins. Through a holistic, client-centered approach, we address the many factors that contribute to homelessness and help each individual move toward permanent housing and self-sufficiency.

Our four dynamic programs provide coordinated services that include:

• Individualized Case Management: EveryEvery client is paired with a dedicated case manager who develops a personalized plan to address immediate needs and set achievable long-term goals. Case managers assist with navigating housing applications, accessing benefits, improving life skills, managing finances, preparing for employment, and connecting with community resources.

• Life Skills & Employment Readiness: Wee provide ongoing education and workshops to help clients build skills in budgeting, communication, job readiness, and personal wellness, empowering them to achieve independence and stability.

• On-Site Substance Use Support: Recognizing that recovery and housing stability often go hand-in-hand, Care & Share offers on-site drug and alcohol assessments and access to a licensed substance abuse counselor. Clients can receive confidential, compassionate care in a familiar setting, including ongoing counseling, relapse prevention support, and referrals to treatment programs.

• Mental & Physical Health Coordination: WeWe partner with local health providers to ensure clients have access to essential care — including medical evaluations, mental health support, and medication management — fostering overall well-being as part of the recovery process.

Safety, Dignity, and 24/7 Support:

Our facility provides a secure, staffed environment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Safety is a top priority at Care & Share — both for our residents and our team. With continuous supervision and a supportive presence on-site, clients can focus on rebuilding their lives in a stable, respectful, and welcoming atmosphere.

Preventing Homelessness Before It Happens:

We know that the best way to fight homelessness is to stop it before it begins. Many individuals and families in our community live one emergency away from losing their housing. Care & Share offers preventative support to help people at risk of eviction or financial hardship remain safely housed. Through emergency assistance, advocacy, and resource connection, we help bridge the gap during times of crisis.

Care & Share of Crookston proudly offers a broad range of essential community programs to meet both immediate and ongoing needs:

• The New Hope Food Shelf: A reliable source of nutritious groceries for individuals and families.

• Soup Kitchen: Serving hot, wholesome meals to anyone in need — because no one in our community should go hungry.

• Donation Room: Providing access to clothing, household items, back-to-school supplies, winter gear, diapers, and emergency essentials.
