Help us donate cakes to kiddos with Congenital Heart Defects

Cakes From Grace Inc. is a non-profit organization created following the passing of our precious daughter, Gracia Lorraine in 2012. Gracie was born August 2, 2012 with a severe congenital heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. We were aware of her CHD before she was born and were told with a series of three surgeries that could allow Gracie to live a fairly normal life. She had her first open heart surgery at 6 days old and had a long journey before we could go home. In early October there was talk of her going home in a week or two since she was doing so well, but her heart gave up unexpectedly on October 23rd. Gracie was such a happy and bright-eyed baby and was stronger than any human being I’ve ever met. 

 A few months after Gracie passed I decided I needed to find a way to honor her, share her story and give back to the heart community. Cakes From Grace Inc. was established in March of 2013. What we do is bake cakes from scratch, decorate them by hand with special themes that each heart kiddo chooses and donate them to families with kids that were born with a heart defect. Some of these families are in the hospital for months at a time and it’s so hard on them financially, physically and emotionally. By having a cake made just for them for a special occasion such as a milestone, birthday or to celebrate coming home from the hospital, these parents don’t have to worry about that small expense that doesn’t seem so small to them and it makes these kids’ day.

 Cakes From Grace Inc. is in need of funding to be able to make cakes for these special kids. Our organization solely depends on donations to purchase supplies and ingredients to make dream cakes and cupcakes. We are also involved with other organizations to raise money for heart research and other non-profits. Throughout the year Cakes From Grace makes thousands of cupcakes to bring to different fundraising events and donates 100% of it’s earnings from the cupcakes to that fundraiser.
