Brothers EMpowered supports and EMpowers men of color facing crisis in the urban community and beyond. We are a community‑based organization serving men of color ages 18+ who are seeking permanent, purpose‑driven change in their lives.
Our mission is simple: EMpower the community by EMpowering the men and future men within it. Through mentorship, crisis support, leadership development, and accountability, we help men build stability, confidence, and a renewed sense of purpose.
We also operate Brothers EMpowered PEACEKEEPERS, our community‑safety initiative that provides trauma‑informed presence, de-escalation, conflict support, and neighborhood engagement throughout Minneapolis. PEACEKEEPERS not only strengthens community safety, but it also creates real job opportunities for men seeking meaningful work, structure, and a chance to serve their community with dignity.
To invest in the next generation, we offer Jr. Brothers EMpowered, our youth mentorship and EMpowerment program for boys ages 10–17. This extension of our adult program helps young future men develop character, discipline, leadership, and emotional intelligence.
