Brian Klinefelter Memorial Foundation

The Brian Klinefelter Foundation seeks to decrease youth violence by assisting passionate community members in growing great kids.

Brian’s Story A Catalyst to Action. In 1996, three young men who had just robbed a liquor store took the life of St. Joseph, Minnesota, Police Officer Brian Klinefelter. That course of events forever changed the lives of his family and his friends. It left them with nagging thought: It didn't have to turn out that way.

To honor his memory, Brian's family, with help from local law enforcement agencies, churches, businesses and education leaders, formed the Brian Klinefelter Foundation in 1996.

The Foundation developed a Family Friendly Workplace Program to promote work-life balance practices that grow great kids.

More than a decade later, Brian's family, friends and those who never met him bring their passion and gifts to the Foundation to continue to help build stronger families, stronger businesses and stronger communities.
