Bloomington Early Learning Advisory Council: BELAC

We support families and advocate for Bloomington's youngest learners.

Our mission is to strengthen the parent/caregiver commitment to Bloomington Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) as well as advise and advocate on behalf of all of Bloomington's Early Childhood programs which includes ECFE, Early Childhood Screening, preschool programming for three and four-year-olds, and Early Childhood Special Education. We provide and encourage active and inclusive participation for families and students in our community, adhering to our motto: We play to learn!

This is our largest fundraiser of the year. Funds raised will go back into our school community: 

+ The end of the year All School Picnic

+ Staff requests (materials, curriculum supports, classroom tools)

+ Teacher and staff appreciation meals

+ Supplies for ELWB family night events

+ Snacks for students, staff, and teachers

Here’s a sample of how raised funds might be used: 

$4.99     Three packages of baby wipes

$9.95      One cheese pizza for our end of the year picnic

$14.99    A six pack of speciality scissors

$21.99    A set of 24 paint sticks for a classroom

$50.00    Two carafes of coffee for the Early Childhood Expo

$99.50     10 pizzas for our end of the year picnic (we typically order 40!)

$224.95  A light table for multiple classrooms use
