When people ask me what we do at Bloom every day, I tell them, "We create the future." We provide children with the confidence, social skills, and academic foundation upon which their future learning depends. We close the opportunity gap by dedicating half our capacity to children (6 weeks to age 5) from low-income families and ensuring access by covering the costs through our scholarship program.
While different circumstances bring children and families in need to Bloom, they all experience the same consistent, deliberate and loving care that allows them to thrive.
Because of you, children who otherwise may not have had the opportunity, are building the foundation they need to be successful learners. This achievement is possible not only because Bloom meets the highest standards for childcare and early learning, but also because of the love and exceptional care extended to every family that entrusts us with their children.
That love begins with the staff who nurture the children and families every day and extends to you. We would not be able to embrace these children were it not for your commitment and support.
Click HERE to meet three families whose lives have been changed for the better by Bloom and you! Isabelle, Welde and Vanessa shared their stories at our recent fundraising event: Blossoming into Tomorrow: Invest. Nurture. Thrive.
This year, we are asking you to support a specific need. Help us put our “best foot forward” and raise $10,000 for new carpet for classrooms at Bloom’s original location on County Road 6, in the Messiah Church.
Bloom voluntarily undergoes stringent evaluation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) every 5 years to assess Bloom’s early childhood curriculum, individualized care and instruction, staff training and experience, family and community relationships, health promotion, leadership, and physical environment. Did you know that only 10% of childcare programs nationwide achieve NAEYC accreditation, considered the gold standard in identifying high-quality, research-based early education and care? This is one example of Bloom’s commitment to providing all of our children with the best start in life.
We are seeking your help to ensure we meet the NAEYC standard of having a well-maintained indoor physical environment. The carpets in our infant, toddler and preschool classrooms are bubbling, creating bumps on the floor. This is one indication of the wear and tear our carpets have experienced over time - it's time to get them replaced!
