The Blessing House is a unique Christian spiritual life and growth "space" that is both a private residence and a community event/ retreat/ respite venue.  Our purpose is to provide a one-of-a-kind, comfy home-like place that will nurture the spirit, soul and body of all who enter- be they individuals, groups or organizations.  The Blessing House is a non-profit, non-denominational Christian entity that is supported by donations.

The concept of a welcoming place that blesses all who enter originally began in the Waconia, Minnesota home of Reverand Gail Berger and her family in 1978.  After being widowed at the age of 50, she earned her M-Div from Luther Seminary and was ordained in 1997.  She felt divinely lead to redesign and dedicate her home as a ministry center so that through her spiritual gifts of hospitality and teaching God could bless all who came. 

For 13 years countless people were drawn to the warm and inviting atmosphere in her home which nourished their deep hunger to know God.  While she was raising 3 boys, Gail's house became a center for all sorts of activities: prayer and healing, seminars, bible studies, personal respite and rehab, meditation, celebrations, baptisms, eating, fellowship and laughter. 
The need for a larger, better facility and location became apparent.  In 2012 she sold her Waconia home.  God provided the opportunity to purchase the Victoria, Minnesota property and the new Blessing House was born. 

The Blessing House is responsible to and overseen by a team of carefully chosen board members with a passion for the Blessing House vision.  The board faithfully gives their time, talents and resources so that the Blessing House can "Bless It Forward" to future generations. 

Although the grounds and building of The Blessing House have been donated, all of the daily operating needs are met thru donations of time, talents and financial resources of those using the residence.  We understand that no everyone that God chooses to bring to our doors has the ability to donate financially. We ask that those that can "Bless It Forward" so that we may continue in our mission to of Creating Spaces for God to Work.
