BIO Girls

BIO Girls improves the self-esteem of adolescent girls through empowerment of self and service to others. Our12-week program combines life-skills lessons, positive mentoring and physical activity to help participants maintain a healthy self-esteem. 

This is important for our communities because positive self-esteem is proven to contribute to better health, positive social behavior and decisions, is a predictor of academic success and is tied to job satisfaction in adulthood.

BIO Girls is committed to providing this important opportunity for low-income adolescent girls in our region, and granted over $220,000 region-wide in financial aid in FY 2022. As we roll into 2023 - BIO Girls projects over $300,000 in financial assistance will be given.
