Bill's Wish

Dear fellow friend of the Veteran Community,

I am writing to seek your support and sponsorship in helping the growing number of veterans in need of services

in Minnesota. Bill’s Wish is a 501c3 nonprofit agency that is committed to legal advocacy and ensuring that all

military veterans and their families who are affected by mental illness and chemical dependency receive the services

they need and deserve.

The organization is named in honor of Bill Kowitz, a Minnesotan, who served in the USMC, worked as a

Lieutenant at Ramsey County Correctional Facility, and was a proud father of four boys. Bill, like too many others, lost

his life to mental illness in 2006. Bill’s Wish seeks to give back to those who have given so much for our country

and bring life to his wish by serving those who have served us.

Our board is made up of 100% volunteers to provide the most resources as possible to those in need. Our most

recent donations have gone to paying various bills for veterans, filling the gaps the VA or other insurance does not

provide regarding chemical, mental health services and through legal advocacy. We have an annual Bills Holiday

Wish sponsorship of a veteran family in need over the holiday season, and we hold monthly meetings to go over the 

needs and obstacles our veterans and their families are facing, providing support in order to reduce those barriers.

A donation of financial support goes directly to Minnesota veterans in need. To make your contribution more

visible we are pleased to recognize your company in board meetings as well as our social media

pages highlighting your business. We host an annual 5K event on Minnesota's Veteran Suicide Awareness Day
