YEAR-END FUNDRAISING DRIVE: While we encourage direct donations to the shul, if you want to make a donation via the GiveMN portal, please do so!
ABOUT US: Beth Jacob is a Conservative synagogue of more than 350 households located near St. Paul, Minnesota. We are guided by the principles of Torah (study), Avodah (meaningful worship and work), and Gemilut Chasidim (acts of loving kindness). We exist as a congregation in order to practice and further our understanding of Conservative Judaism through the celebration of Shabbat, holidays and lifecycle events, and daily practice.
EQUALITY: We are a community of Jews who come together as equals to nurture relationships with God and each other. Men, women, and children, all have a wide variety of opportunities to be part of our community.
SHABBAT: The centerpiece of our community’s week is Shabbat. Our Shabbat morning service brings together individuals with wide-ranging knowledge of liturgy and practice, and Shabbat Enrichment provides and opportunity for even the smallest children to know the joys of Shabbat. Our doors are open for all to enter – as well as to take our responsibility for repairing the world out into the community.
EXTENSIVE PROGRAMMING: Whether you consider Shabbat Enrichment, our USY Youth programs, Adult Education opportunities, or our Social Action initiatives, the one thing you will find is that there is always something for you and your family here at Beth Jacob. With an impressive array of teachers and community leaders, Beth Jacob offers a broad scope of programming to engage your mind and your energy, to encourage life-long learning, and to promote the values of a strong Jewish community.
COMMUNITY BUILDING: Beth Jacob is constantly striving to build a stronger, broader community by reaching out to our friends and neighbors. We have recently engaged in interfaith text study and dialogue with the Muslim American Society of MN, in addition to developing relationships with a wide variety of Christian and secular groups who live with us and around us.
