Bemidji Pride

As a 501c3 nonprofit organization, Bemidji Pride is the only organization of its kind to operate in the Bemidji and rural Northwest MN areas which focus on being all-inclusive for our 2SLGBTQ+ community, along with straight-allied friends and family. Our efforts are supported through donations, sponsorships, and volunteers for everything that we do. It's thanks to people like you that help make Bemidji Pride possible.

Founded in 2020 and still growing and going strong today, Bemidji Pride is so delighted with the love, fellowship and support we have received from our community as we continue to grow and branch out into other areas of service for our 2SLGBTQ+ population. However, even with all that love and support from our allies, we still have a very long way to go. Some of the challenges that the 2SLGBTQ+ community face, include a lack of representation and visibility, intense stigma, the threat of violence, and lack of affirming safe spaces. It is with this fundraiser that we look forward to offering more services, supports, along with events and workshops.

Our events include a Pride Festival, Drag Shows, Queer Prom, Art Shows, and Community Socials, while also participating in area gatherings and events. Through each of these, our hope is to not only normalize queerness in our area, but to provide spaces for our LGBTQIA+ and our Two-Spirit community along with our allies to meet safely in solidarity. Your generous donation to Bemidji Pride directly supports our programming, events and our annual Pride Festival. We appreciate so much your willingness to give to our causes. Our first Bemidji Pride Festival was held in August of 2021. For being a rural community, imagine our surprise when we had a few hundred people in attendance! We were so encouraged by that, it led Bemidji Pride to see a great need that we could fill so we decided to do these wonderful celebrations yearly! In 2025, Bemidji Pride held our Pride Festival with the theme, "Living out Loud. " We had thousands of people in attendance - what a tremendous growth! Due to the heavy increase in attendance, Bemidji Pride has extended both its reach and its programming. 

For 2026, our Bemidji Pride Festival theme is as of yet, undetermined. With events scheduled for Thursday 08/27/2026 & Friday 08/28/2026 and the main Bemidji Pride Festival happening on Saturday 08/29/2026. We are so excited to show many more 2SLGBTQ+ people, families, and allies from across the region that Bemidji Pride is a safe space to be, because at Bemidji Pride's events, everyone is welcome and everyone belongs.
