North American Bear Center

The North American Bear Center is the only black bear and wildlife educational facility of its kind. Dedicated to replacing old myths with facts, people learn from the bears themselves about bear behavior, ecology, and their relations with humans.

We are so thankful for your generosity over the past several years during the Give to the Max Day. Without your support we could not have made so many of the needed improvements to the Bear Center, including the new fencing and habitats for our bears, the pond renovation, a new cub room where children can learn and play, helping to complete the Northwoods Ecology Hall, and building of our Intern Housing Complex. All of the donations we receive through Give to the Max Day go towards long-lasting capital improvements to the Bear Center. We rely on your support during this campaign and we thank you!

This year we will be seeking donations going towards several needed improvements inside of the Bear Center.
