Our mission:  to advance the long-term survival of bears worldwide by replacing misconceptions with scientific facts about bears, their relations with humans, and their role in ecosystems. There is a huge need for accurate information. The North American Bear Center is dedicated to replacing old myths with facts; it lets people learn from the bears themselves about bear behavior, ecology, and their relations with humans.

Your generosity over last four years has provided the funds to purchase new fencing for our bear’s individual pens.  This project would not have been possible without your generosity.   We thank you.

This year’s Give to the Max Day campaign funds will be used to continue to enhance our bear enclosure. We have a variety of projects planned including replacing and repairing sections of the fencing around the 2.5 acre perimeter and upgrading the electrical fencing.  Some of the additional project include repairing the waterfalls in the pond, install new bear feeders in the enclosure, paint the observation deck and we'd like to recover some of the expenses of the new cams installed.

Please be sure to check out our website where you will find live cams of our Ambassador bears, information about our programs, a link to our Social Media pages, a gift shop, along with location and hours for you to plan your visit to this truly remarkable one-of-a-kind nature center to learn about bears from the bears themselves!

To stay up to date on all that is happening at the North American Bear Center, be sure to subscribe to our periodic newsletters.

We thank you for your support in helping us further our mission. mission.
