Backpacks to support young people on their journey from homeless to hopeful!
On any given night in Minnesota, 4,000 young people will experience homelessness.
Backpack Project MN is simple... we provide quality, new backpacks filled with personal care items to homeless youth in the Twin Cities Metropolitan area of Minneapolis and St. Paul.
How do we do it?
Volunteers collect donated backpacks and items from our List and assemble the backpacks for distribution. We use monetary donations to purchase items from the List that have not been donated. Once assembled, we deliver the backpacks to Youthlink MN and Avenues for Homeless Youth, where they are distributed by experienced outreach personnel.
