Austin Public Education Foundation

The Austin Public Education Foundation enriches learning through yearly grants awarded throughout district 492!

Each year Austin's dedicated teachers, coaches and staff submit grant requests to the APE Foundation, designed to optimize the Austin student's educational experience.

Founded in 1990, the  APE Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization. The first APE Foundation grant was awarded in 1992 for $500.00. 

For the 2017-2018 school year; $33,905.28 was awarded through 32 grants, for 10 different schools within ISD #492.

To date, over $460,000 has been awarded by the APE Foundation, through grants that directly impact Austin students K-12 educational experiences.   

2018-18 APE Foundation awards include grants for inspired learning with: Osmo Wonder Kits,  classroom libraries, Roots Club materials, video production equipment, gym supplies and much more!
