Serving Others Beyond the Church Walls
Augustana Lutheran Church celebrates 150 years of worship and service in Minneapolis and around the world. The Augustana Legacy Fund was established to help our neighbors by funding grants to provide food, shelter, education and many other services. Grant recipients in 2015 included:
Community Emergency Service;
Simpson Housing Services;
Augustana Care Center;
Restorative Justice;
Crossroad Preschool.
Grant requests in size from $2,000 to $20,000 projects were funded, often as seed money to begin new projects and encourage donations by serving as matching funds.
