Empowering people in Haiti one micro-loan at a time
Did you know that 3 billion people around the world survive on $2.50 a day or less? These tend to be the world’s forgotten people. Living in remote, faraway places where traditional banks either don’t exist or won't trust them. How does one get ahead if you cannot find a job or get a loan from a bank? At Anchored Beginnings our vision for an improved Haiti starts with empowering people and building up families. We started our organization to help one single family, and we have grown to help many more people in several ways. Through God's blessings we have been able to help a family by listening and working together, with them as a team. We feel we are all called to be the hands and feet of the Lord. It starts with giving people hope by giving them a chance to move forward. A micro-loan is one way to empower someone to provide for themselves. For these entrepreneurs, a small loan is their chance to make their hard work more profitable and improve their lives and the lives of their families. Micro Lending is the extension of very small loans (microloans) to the unemployed, poor entrepreneurs and others living in poverty that are not considered credit worthy. Micro Loans are directed at those people that would rather have an opportunity, than to continue to survive on the generosity of others. This is the mechanism to enable the growth, and creation, of a small business. In some places, this can be as simple as raising chickens, or as significant as a packaging operation.
“Give To The Max” Day is a tremendous opportunity to give hope to those who are the poorest of the poor in our world. It allows families to stay together. By contributing to Anchored Beginnings your dollars will ONLY be used for micro-loans for those that need hope in their lives and yearn for an opportunity.
