Our vision is to foster and support the optimal education experience for all District 241 students.
The Albert Lea Public Education Foundation has registered to do business as Education Foundation of Albert Lea and is a non-profit corporation (501 3c) that was formed in 2000 by a group of citizens who shared a concern for the future of education in the Albert Lea area. Since its inception the Foundation has worked to provide enhancements to the educational experience of the students of the Albert Lea Area Schools. Our fund raising activities have resulted in gifts totaling over $600,000 for programs, equipment, improvements and permanent endowment funds that benefit students in District 241. The mission of the Education Foundation of Albert Lea is to serve the students in District 241 by identifying and supporting student educational needs through soliciting and providing supplemental financial assistance through: --creating a permanent endowment which will provide a continued source of funds for unmet student needs, scholastic improvement, scholarships, and special program grants; --developing funding for the creation and maintenance of new programs that will enhance the curriculum for students; --soliciting funds from alumni for improvements in facilities; --supporting other activities which are beneficial to students in the district.
