Every dollar counts, and every meal matters. Together, we can continue to provide daily meals to the seniors who rely on us for their nutritional needs. 

Recent changes in Minneapolis’ food provider space has increased the number of individuals seeking assistance through Al Maa’uun’s food program. Through our partnership with Meals on Wheels for food delivery, Al Maa’uun serves seniors age 60 and older and those with disabilities and is the only provider of Halal meals in the Twin Cities. Out of community necessity and the partnership commitment to the mission of Meals on Wheels, Al Maa'uun has increased the number of seniors it serves from 100 to 200 and has had to stop taking new participants due to financial constraints. 

Today, we are making a heartfelt request to you to support our More Meals campaign to ensure that no senior in our community goes hungry. Your generosity can make a significant impact. By contributing to More Meals, you can help us bridge the gap between our current resources and the growing need for our services. Your donation of any amount will directly fund the daily meals that are essential to the daily well-being of our seniors.

Each daily meal costs $9.00. You can support More Meals with:

• A $27 monthly recurring donation providing 3 healthy meals for a senior neighbor. 

• A $45 monthly recurring donation ensures a week of meals for a senior in need.

• A $180 donation to feed a senior for a month, promoting their health and independence.

• A $1,080 donation secures six months of meals and connections for a senior.

ABOUT AL-MAA'UUN

Founded in 1996, Al Maa’uun’s goals have been to meet the North Minneapolis community's needs by partnering with neighboring organizations, faith communities, and individuals. Al Maa’uun offers many vital services in the community focusing on critical areas, including affordable housing, workforce development, peer mentorship, and food insecurity. Inspired by the teaching of the Holy Qur’an and housed in Minneapolis' historic Mosque of the Light, Masjid An-Nur, we partner with neighboring organizations, faith communities and individuals to meet the needs of our neighbors in North Minneapolis.  Our programs include providing a food shelf, hot meals, employment readiness and support, and more.
