WeARE (Advocates for Reproductive Education)

Give to the Max for rural reproductive justice!

There has never been a more important time to support the reproductive rights of all. WeARE is a comprehensive and inclusive reproductive health organization offering education and clinical services, like sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and treatment, contraception, and more. WeARE-The Clinic opened in 2017 to address Crow Wing County’s higher-than-average rates of teen pregnancy and STIs. 

After being open for six years, in 2022, WeARE-The Clinic had more than 700 total visits, providing necessary reproductive health care to over 500 returning and 200 new patients. WeARE also operates outreach clinics at the local domestic violence shelter and at the local community college to bring critical reproductive and sexual healthcare directly to those who need it most. Everyone is welcome at WeARE.

Let’s Talk, our education program, also reached over 150 families and 500 students last year with evidence-based information about topics like healthy relationships, consent, identity, and sexual health. This programming is effectively increasing the knowledge and skills of students at The Shop (Brainerd/Baxter Youth Center), Upward Bound, PORT group homes, Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE), and many other locations across the Brainerd Lakes Area.
