AdoptAClassroom.org is a national non-profit based in Minneapolis dedicated to connecting teachers and schools to the funding they need so they can buy what they want, when they need it. We serve schools across the United States, and we prioritize students in high-needs schools who are most at risk.

With your help, we make that possible. 

Since our founding in 1998, we’ve supported Minnesota teachers with over $1 million in funding. 

One of the teachers we supported is Jennifer, a Minnesota teacher who describes her students as “unique, creative, diverse, and brilliant students, each bubbling with potential." However, in Jennifer’s school, 90% of the students come from low-income households and many have experienced homelessness. She says these environmental factors are "barriers that get in the way of them achieving what they are capable of doing.” 

Jennifer received funding from AdoptAClassroom.org donors to outfit her classroom with flexible seating. She found it was crucial for her to engage both her student’s bodies and minds. If they’re having a difficult day, they can still get their work done on a wobble stool while getting the wiggles out.
