Alliance Education Center (AEC) is a public, K-12 special education school within Intermediate School District 917 (ISD 917) located in Rosemount, Minnesota. ISD 917 serves students with low incidence special education services from 9 member school districts:  Bloomington Public Schools, Burnsville-Eagan Savage ISD 191, Farmington Area Public Schools, Hastings Public Schools, Inver Grove Heights Community Schools, Lakeville Area Public Schools, Randolph Public Schools, South St. Paul, and West St. Paul-Mendota Heights-Eagan.  We partner with our member districts in areas that include: Special Education, Career and Technical Education, and Alternative Learning programming.

AEC serves students with unique needs from those nine member district areas. AEC has three programs within the school: IDEA, SUN and CASE. The Intra Dakota Education Alternative (IDEA) is a program that focuses on the development of appropriate skills that will allow students to function successfully in the general education setting. Students served in this program most often are students with Emotional Behavior Disorders (EBD). Students in the SUN – Students with Unique Needs program fall into a variety of disability categories including Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) and Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD).  The Customized Alternative Solutions for Education (CASE) program is a highly specialized and unique program where students who need the highest level of support are taught. In this one of a kind program, students are provided a completely customized and individualized experience that best meets their complex academic, social and behavioral needs. All programs teach students with disabilities to focus on developing skills that will allow them to be successful to return to their home district and school.

Many of our students are on free and reduced lunch plans and many of the students and their families have basic needs that we are looking to supplement. We are looking for donations to be deposited into our student activities account. That account not only helps to fund student and family activities during a traditional school year but it also helps to fund student and family needs such as: winter gear, clothing, hygiene needs, school supplies, household items, or fees that cannot be paid by families. Please consider donating to our school and helping these students meet a variety of needs.

Thank you for your time.
