Sweat4Justice: What We Are Doing
Sweat4Justice is a one-hour indoor cycling (a.k.a spinning) event intended to raise as much as we can for OneJustice. By signing up and getting sponsors, you will be bringing life-changing legal services to those in need. Your help is needed now more than ever. The minimum pledge to ride is $150, with a fundraising goal of $1,000 per rider.
To broaden our OneJustice net, Sweat4Justice has two locations this year: San Francisco (at the SF Bay Club at 150 Greenwich Street) and Los Angeles (at the SoulCycle Hollywood), both on Saturday, October 21, 2017.
Any amount given is considered an endorsement of your rider's willingness to go to great lengths to support this wonderful cause.
Join us in our pursuit for OneJustice throughout California.
OneJustice: Who We Are
At least 8 million low-income Californians experience between 1 to 3 legal problems each year. These problems create barriers to life necessities, like housing, medical care, food, and freedom from violence. California's system of over 100 nonprofits work hard to provide legal services to those in need — but they can't reach everyone. Insufficient resources mean that around 66% of everyone seeking help is turned away. The situation is even worse in rural communities, with few local attorneys and nonprofits to help. The legal services system is stretched too thin, and as a result, millions are suffering — needlessly — from legal problems that are often simple and solvable. OneJustice brings life-changing legal help to those in need. We engage the resources in the private sector to provide pro bono (volunteer) services. We strengthen the capacity of the nonprofit sector to serve more people. We build a network of Californians who advocate for legal services.
