Lake Area Bank's core focus is to make a difference in people's lives. With many of us spending more time at home, we understand making a difference in people's lives includes their beloved pets -- and the physical and mental health benefits that can go along with owning a pet.
DID YOU KNOW? Pets can improve your health! According to the CDC, studies have shown that the bond between people and their pets can increase fitness, lower stress, and bring happiness to their owners.
You can help support animal rescue organizations that save pets. During the month of May (National Pet Month), Lake Area Bank will collect much-needed pet items for distribution to local animal rescue organizations. In addition to collecting these basic-need items in our branch locations, our goal is to raise $500 for each of our participating organizations.
The local animal rescue organizations we're supporting include:
Caring for animals in need. The homeless, strays, abused, neglected, lost. Heal them, love them, help them find a home. We strive to improve the lives of homeless animals by providing compassionate care until permanent loving homes can be found. We promote responsible adoptions and offer post-adoption support for the human-animals relationship.
To provide homeless dogs and cats with a Second Chance at life and companionship. Our organization goes beyond the confines of shelter walls to build an extensive network of knowledgeable, experienced, talented and caring individuals focused on quality animal care & services; animal welfare education; positive people/animal relationships; and cooperative rescue efforts.
Every year, Animal Humane Society provides direct care and services to help more than 100,000 animals in need across Minnesota. As one of the nation's leading animal welfare organizations, AHS is transforming the way shelters care for animals and engage their communities. From innovative medical and behavior programs to investments in outreach and advocacy, we’re advancing animal welfare and creating a more humane world for animals everywhere.
Thank you for supporting these animal rescue organizations serving our local communities!
