One last post
Thank you for making SFCASA's Giving Tuesday campaign a success! As we approach the most popular days of the year to make contributions, we thought we'd suggest one last effort to share your page this week. You could thank your donors to date and offer one last opportunity to give. We'd suggest something simple, like:
Happy holidays and all the best for 2018!
Meet Megan.
Megan was five when she entered foster care. By the time she turned six, she had lived in four different foster homes. She was struggling in school from constantly being uprooted and moved with no notice. She often didn't have time to say goodbye to her foster parents before being moved onto the next. She had no consistent adults in her life and was suffering in the system by herself. Until she met Janet.
Janet was assigned as her CASA and changed her life. Janet became her educational rights holder and worked with her school team to get Megan the resources she needed to succeed. She mobilized Megan's team of teachers, attorneys, foster parents, therapists, social workers, and family to make sure her needs were addressed. Janet helped her build a relationship with her uncle, who ultimately became her forever home.
There are more children like Megan in San Francisco foster care who need an adult like Janet. San Francisco CASA transforms the lives of abused and neglected foster youth by providing one consistent, caring volunteer advocate, trained to address each child’s needs in the court and the community.
By supporting SFCASA, you are ensuring that one more San Francisco foster youth is given the opportunity to thrive.
Thanks to a generous matching gift from a longtime supporter of San Francisco CASA, the organization will receive $100 for everyone who starts a crowdfunding page - up to 25 people! Join the team, publish to your social networks, spread the word about SFCASA, and make a real difference in the life of a very deserving child, like Megan.
