The 728 Cadets Marching Arts provides music and performance education to middle school and high school students in the Elk River Area School District, including Elk River, Otsego, Rogers, and Zimmerman. The 728 Cadets are a stand-alone, 501(c)(3) organization & raise funds each season to offset expenses to keep the participation costs affordable for students. The 728 Cadets includes a summer marching band & three winter ensembles: River Valley Percussion Theatre, River Valley Winter Guard, and River Valley Sound.
For the winter season we need to raise $15,000, so we can reimburse volunteers/parents for the cost of gas to haul our trailers to competitions and rehearsals. River Valley Percussion Theater utilizes a large trailer to transport marimbas, virbaphones, drums and props to rehearsals and competitions. In addition, River Valley Sound uses a trailer to transport large brass instruments, uniforms, and show props to rehearsals and performances. Lastly, River Valley Color Guard has a trailer to transport uniforms, performance props, flags, rifles, etc. that are used for their competitions and practices. This requires the organization to use large trucks to tow the trailers throughout the season. With your donation prior to midnight on November 16th, it will allow us to fund the cost of transportation, so students can rehearsal & attend their competitions.
