$200 Goal

It doesn’t seem possible that Blair has reached her last year at Northern Voices. We are grateful that we have one more year here to prepare Blair as much as possible for her future schooling. Although it is daily talk about “when she starts kindergarten” and all her plans, we know that it is only possible due to the tireless work of the teachers and staff and Blair at Northern Voices.

Northern Voices is a nonprofit organization/school for children with hearing loss.  Established in 1999, the school teaches speech, language and auditory training to children with cochlear implants and hearing aids.  The students are ordinary kids working extraordinarily hard to catch up to their hearing peers.  The goal of the organization is for every child to join their peers in neighborhood schools, with age appropriate speech, language and listening skills.  Spoken language skills provide real independence and self-confidence, allowing these children to participate fully in a hearing world.

Every year, Northern Voices hosts a fundraising event called Walk for Talk. Walk for Talk is a family friendly event that helps raise community awareness and support for young children with hearing loss.  All proceeds directly benefit the children at Northern Voices and support our high quality programming!

Please consider donating to support Blair and the continued work of Northern Voices. We hope that it continues to impact kids long after Blair has graduated!
