Chloe started at Northern Voices in December of 2019 a few weeks after having her Cochlear Implants activated. Chloe was born with severe to profound hearing loss and at the age of 3 months received her 1st set of hearing aids. It was amazing what she would respond to with them. As time went on her hearing loss became worse and we made the decision for cochlear implants as it was important to us for Chloe to be able to hear and have spoken language. When Chloe was 16 months old she was implanted and started at Northern Voices at 17 months. The progress she has made is AMAZING. The team at Northern Voices is exactly what Chloe needed and will continue to need until she can main stream into one of our local schools. Corey and I feel very strongly that Northern Voices is where Chloe needs to be for her education and development and we need them just as much! I am so thankful that we found this program and are giving our little girl the best opportunity there is! Chloe is making leaps and bounds this school year. She is hitting her goals and amazes us each and everyday with the language she has. If you did not see the actual device on her head, you would never know that she has a hearing difference. We owe a lot of this progress to Northern Voices. They are a true blessing.
