The Loring Read-A-Thon is one of our most exciting schoolwide events, bringing together a love of reading and meaningful support for our students. Over the course of a few weeks, students will build reading habits, explore new stories, and grow their love of books while helping support our school community.
Students can read anything they love. Picture books, chapter books, graphic novels, audiobooks, even reading with a grown-up counts. Every minute matters.
Along the way, students will:
Track their reading time
Set personal goals
Earn prizes and recognition
Collect pledges from family and friends
Funds raised through the Read-A-Thon directly support classroom supplies, enrichment opportunities, and experiences that help all Loring students thrive.
This is not about who reads the fastest or the most. It is about building a lifelong love of reading, one page at a time.
Families and friends can support by encouraging daily reading and making a donation to cheer on their favorite reader.
