Let's be honest. This has been a difficult year for all of us. Unfortunately, it has been particularly difficult for small non-profit theaters like Lyric Arts. However, we are looking on the bright side.
Lyric Arts is ready to move on to 2021—but not until we've had the chance to end 2020 on a high note!
In order to stage our comeback, we need to raise $90,000 by December 31.
And, to help us get there, we are hoping to reach 2,020 donors willing to give just $20, raising $40,400.
But, there is more. This is also a competition between the many Friends of Lyric Arts to either find the most donors or raise the most money. The winner in each category will win a Preview Night VIP Party for 30 guests (once Lyric Arts re-opens, of course).
Your donation of $20 (or more) will help:
- Keep the lights on and the heat running at the Main Street Stage, in addition to paying for other everyday expenses like phone, water, and internet bills
- Keep essential staff members on payroll
- Pay stipends for a broad range of theater artists and technicians
- Secure rights and pay royalties for productions in 2021 and throughout our upcoming 2021–2022 season
- Ensure children in the north metro have access to affordable, high-quality theater classes in a place where everyone is welcome
