This Give to the Max Day on November 20, I’m proud to fundraise for QUEERSPACE collective, an organization creating safer, more affirming spaces for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth to be their true selves. 

At a time when the current administration is working to strip away protections for Queer and Trans youth, when gender ideology is being threatened in education systems, QUEERSPACE collective has stood united to create an unapologetic space that affirms, protects, and celebrates them.

One year ago just days after the U.S. presidential election, QUEERSPACE opened its doors to the QS Youth Center — Minnesota’s newest home for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth.  Today, hundreds of Queer and Trans youth have found safety, friendship, and hope inside its walls.

88% of QUEERSPACE youth report feeling more confident in themselves and 90% feel a stronger sense of community and belonging. After visiting the QS Youth Center, one teen shared, “This is the first place I can breathe.” 

This space is a promise: that here, Queer youth will find community, mentors, and resources to help them grow into their authentic selves with pride and purpose. And they're not just creating space, they're actively transforming the interpersonal, community, and systemic structures that shape Queer lives through group programming, 1:1 mentorship, inclusivity consulting, and advocacy.
