Have you ever experienced one of your most admired classical performers live, on-stage? Can you recall the excitement of securing your tickets, reveling in the release of the setlist, and waiting with bated breath for them to step onto the stage, take their first bow, and play their first notes? For over 143 years, Schubert Club has been honored to provide this opportunity for many audience members, hosting some of the most acclaimed musicians, such as Leontyne Price, Joshua Bell, Yo-Yo Ma, and the Emerson Quartet, to name a few.
This season, one of these fan favorites, Renée Fleming, returned to Schubert Club for a 3-day series featuring a resplendent recital, informative masterclass, and lively discussion panel centered around her book, “Music and Mind: Harnessing the Arts for Health and Wellness”. Through the varied means of engaging with Ms. Fleming’s artistry, both established and new listeners were able to create those treasured memories of seeing “one of the greats”—memories which last a lifetime.
Audiences can continue their excitement when they come to see the Mahler Chamber Orchestra in a revolutionary virtual reality setting. Here, listeners are immersed in the on-stage experience of the instrumentalists, seeing and hearing the music and performance in a completely unique way. And let us not forget the return of the Danish String Quartet, who, after their last visit in 2021 will bring their glorious program of both classical stalwarts and traditional folk tunes to our halls once again.
Schubert Club is devoted to ensuring everyone can access opportunities to share in the one-of-a-kind and transformative experience of live performance, regardless of cost. We are proud to continue offering free tickets to kids and students, which has connected hundreds of families and students to classical music since its inception three years ago.
Your donation to supporting concerts, music education, and the Music Museum enables us to continue offering these cherished and transformative experiences. Thank you for your support, both past and future.
