New update
This park requires regular maintenance by Pollinator Friendly Alliance. We are very grateful for the help of the many volunteers. But the maintenance is overwhelming and to keep this beautiful park thriving, we need more help. Please consider pitching in or becoming a sponsor to support a hired gardening crew to help with the maintenance.
This fully established pollinator, bird and wildlife habitat right in the heart of the city of Stillwater is an oasis for living things where there is little other habitat. This year, we are overseeding with more native forbs into portions of the prairie that were encroached upon by nearby unwanted plants such as buckthorn, Asian raspberry and Canada thistle.
The Pollinator Park in Stillwater is the only park in Minnesota designed and dedicated to pollinators. Please consider being an annual sponsor with a posted sponsorship sign at the park. Four underutilized city lots were transformed into flowering habitat: shortgrass native prairie, bee lawn, native flower garden and serviceberry trees. The park annual maintenance and enhancement costs total $5,000 per year to keep this beautiful public park thriving. Any time or day, come by and see the magnitude of pollinators and birds foraging along the pollinator trail. This park is utilized by schools, ecology programming, pollinator research and community groups as an educational field study. Help us keep this park buzzing with a donation or sponsorship.
